This is a preamplifier + headphone amplifier in one made by Lehmann Audio of Germany. The design was very well done by giving it a 4 stage gain that is adjustable by the switches beneath the machine. This makes the widens compatibility to high sensitivity to high impedance headphones even K1000 can have good performance when connected to it. Very simple and clean exterior (just like German would make them) that is not obtrusive.
Sound Characteristics
When used as preamplifier, the sound is very transparent and quiet, neutral and projects a wide soundstage, the layering of the music is also very well presented. We were very pleasently suprise by how well it worked as a preamplifier.
