DAC202是市場最受歡迎的解碼器之一，但是由于它不帶USB輸入，這讓很多人放棄把它作為電腦音頻的一種方案。現在DAC202U配備了USB和火綫（當然還有標準的AES/EBU，SPDIF和Toslink）。
The DAC202 is now available in a USB version, i.e.a USB input is added to the existing 4 inputs.
This makes for the DAC202U. Existing units can be factory upgraded with the USB input.
The USB interface is an asynchronous design and works at up to 192kHz via an USB 2.0 interface. The S/PDIF output socket is changed for a USB socket.
For OSX (Apple) operating systems it is not necessary to install any driver for USB.
For Windows based systems a driver is included.
Other restrictions for the USB input are: - The USB input has to be selected from the DAC202 front panel, there is no USB key on the remote control unit.
- During sampling rate changing there may be a short interruption of the playback.
- The external synchronization facility cannot be used with the USB input, i.e. with the USB input the DAC202 always is the master clock source.
